You know that feeling you get when you look at that old movie you used to love and you suddenly realize the plot has devolved into a complete mess? It’s like your high school crush suddenly turned into a zombie and started cannibalizing people in the town square. It’s the same feeling you get when you go to a new restaurant and suddenly realize the chef is serving up poorly prepared and unseasoned food, or when your supermarket starts selling expired goods.
This week in politics, we saw a large level of social media censorship in the Philippines. President Duterte claimed that the government would not allow social media to be used in the Philippines any more because it was too disruptive. The President may have been referring to the social media sites Twitter and Facebook, but it could also be referring to the Phone Call Service (PCS) which was recently reported to be blocked in the Philippines.
In the late 1980s, Dr. John B. Avildsen and his team of researchers at the University of Hawaii created the first long-range underwater camera for studying and observing sea life and marine environments. The team’s first underwater camera — the “Superior” — became the first underwater camera to capture and store imagery of a live sea turtle and its egg. As of 2014, the camera is still able to capture images of sea turtles and their eggs, and it has been updated to include a digital video camera.
Since early 2007, Tumblr has become a popular microblogging site. Tumblr allows you to see everything that is presently trending. If you’re interested in anything, you can always subscribe to those blogs to keep up with all the newest news and events on a variety of subjects. Tumblr has become a center for a variety of material, including pictures, gifs, memes, videos, and more, as people have shifted to newer social media. Because Tumblr’s safe mode is on by default for everyone, here’s how to disable it on your account.
Tumblr is a fantastic place to find humorous material, memes, and other interesting things. While all of them are excellent, some of the material on Tumblr may not be appropriate for a younger readership. As a result, Tumblr has chosen to default to safe or secure mode for all accounts. The security setting has been switched on for everyone, regardless of their age or who they are. Continue reading to learn how to bypass or turn off Tumblr Safe mode.
Tumblr Safe Mode may be bypassed.
If you’ve been using Tumblr on an iOS or Android smartphone for a while, you’re already familiar with how to circumvent the safe mode. There is also a method to circumvent or deactivate Tumblr Safe mode for people who use Tumblr on their PCs.
Tumblr, on the other hand, has permanently prohibited improper material on its site. That is, the option to disable or enable Safe Mode is no longer accessible. The only options you can change with Tumblr are the filters. You will no longer be seeing material with a certain tag if you use different filters.
Tumblr Filters on Android and iOS may be enabled or disabled.
- To use Tumblr, go to the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and search for it.
- Tumblr requires you to sign in or create an account.
- Now, touch the person symbol in the lower right corner.
- Tap the Settings gear icon on your profile page.
- You may now choose Account Settings from the Settings page.
- Scroll down until you come across the Filtering option.
- It should be tapped. Filtered Tags and Filtered Post Content are the two choices currently available.
- To add tags, choose the +New option. Add any postings that include specific phrases that you don’t want to see.
- Simply swipe left on the tag and choose Delete if you want to remove the filters.
- So, on Android and iOS devices, this is how you add or delete filtered tags.
Tumblr Filters on the Desktop may be enabled or disabled.
- Open Tumblr.com with your preferred browser.
- If you already have an account, sign in; else, establish one.
- After you’ve completed all of the necessary steps, click the profile button. It will be located at the very top of the screen.
- The Settings option will appear once you click on it. Choose it.
- Look to the left side of the Settings page and scroll down until you find Filtering.
- Filtered Tags and Filtered Post Content both have a pen symbol next to them. Select it by clicking on it.
- You may use this section to add tags or terms to articles and material that you don’t want to see in your feed.
- If you wish to get rid of the tags, just select the Remove button and everything will be gone.
Previously, you could change the material you wanted to view by turning on or off Safe Mode. Tumblr’s platform has changed, and you may now only filter posts by specific tags. There are a few things to keep in mind while creating filters: the maximum character limit is 250.
Tags that you use to filter are case insensitive, so if the filtered word is on a picture, there’s nothing you can do about it until Tumblr develops an AI to scan those photos for filtered terms.
Yes, you could always get around Tumblr’s Safe Mode, but that is no longer the case. What platform have you moved to if you were a Tumblr user and have subsequently changed to other platforms? Please let us know in the comments section below.
